Meet the Doughtys

Justin and Sarah Doughty are both passionate teachers who share a love for family, adventure, and the great outdoors. Along with their two energetic sons, J.D. and Jack, they spend every chance they get exploring nature and making lifelong memories together.

Summers are their favorite time of year, filled with camping trips under the stars, swimming in cool lakes, fishing at dawn, kayaking through quiet coves, hiking rugged trails, and unwinding around a crackling fire. These are the moments that matter most. And when the school year rolls around, their family bond stays just as strong, you’ll find them bundled up on the sidelines cheering for the boys at football, basketball, and baseball games.

For the Doughtys, family always comes first. They believe the best memories are made outside, away from screens, and surrounded by trees, laughter, and fresh air.

Creating All Day Fire with the Peaveys lit a spark in their hearts, a reminder to make the time. Make the time to be together, to travel, to explore, and to reconnect with nature. Whether it's a quiet walk through the woods or a full-blown weekend adventure, they’re always chasing that next outdoor moment, together.

Meet the Peaveys

Brent and Aspen Peavey, along with their two adventurous boys, Jace and Harper, are all about making memories in the great outdoors. Brent is part owner of TDC Transport, and Aspen is an elementary school teacher. Outside of work, their hearts belong to nature and family time. From peaceful pontoon rides across Michigan’s sparkling lakes to adrenaline-filled snowmobile adventures in the Upper Peninsula , they’re always chasing the next adventure together.

At their cozy getaway in Grand Marais, you’ll find them snowmobiling through fresh powder and enjoying winter weekends off the grid. In the summer, they soak up lake life in the Lower Peninsula, swimming, boating, and relaxing under the sun.

Whether they’re roasting marshmallows by the fire, chasing sunsets on the water, or hauling wood, Brent’s favorite job, one tractor load at a time (two if it’s an ALL DAY FIRE). The Peaveys live for time outside. Their life is grounded in love, laughter, and meaningful moments.

Meet Billy

Originally from the small town of Oscoda, Michigan, Billy Straughen grew up with a fishing pole in one hand and a paddle in the other. These days, he calls New York home, but his heart lives deep in the Adirondack Mountains. Billy spends every free moment camping under the stars, canoeing through quiet lakes, and casting lines into misty morning waters.

Known for cooking hearty meals over an open flame, Billy’s favorite memories are made with his wife, Michel, and their three kids Brody, Aubree, and Luke, while gathered around the campfire, swapping stories and roasting marshmallows. If you ever find yourself by the fire with Billy and he suddenly tosses a cap into the flames… well, let’s just say you’re in for a good story. Justin still laughs about it. Maybe a few regrets, maybe not, but definitely a memory worth keeping.

Whether he’s tracking deer, navigating a canoe at sunrise, or just soaking in the silence of the woods, Billy brings a deep respect for the wild to everything he does. As a true outdoorsman, he brings that same passion and dedication to the shop. He's always ready to help fellow adventurers gear up for their next great escape.
